Learn the basics of programming with the LEGO EV3 using activities that will get you started in RoboCup Junior
Are you interested in either learning programming or the RoboCup Junior Australia (RCJA) but don’t know where to start?
This introductory workshop will allow you to learn how to program the LEGO EV3 Robotics system using coding activities relating to the RoboCup Junior competition.
RoboCup Junior Australia (RCJA) is a fantastic robotics initiative that supports local, regional and international robotic events for young students. Teams work in a cooperative and supportive environment developed by volunteer teachers, past
competitors and industry members in three distinct challenges; Dance, Rescue and Soccer. The focus of RoboCup Junior is the development of teamwork skills as well as technical skills in an environment of participation, fun and excitement.
Participants at this workshop will be introduced to the Dance and Rescue divisions of the RCJA competition and by the end of the workshop will have started programming a simple robot to enter in each division and will be equipped with simple ideas to involve your students.
This workshop is also suitable for teachers who are considering implementing a Robotics program in their school.
